Mawlaya salli wa sallim da’iman ‘abadan, ‘alaa Habibika Khayr il-Khalqi Kullihimi.

Rahmah. An Arabic word, which derives from ‘raham’, meaning womb. ‘Rahmah’ is a word which encompasses all forms of motherly love, compassion, kindness and mercy.

Rahmah is God’s Greatest Gift:

{ وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلاَّ رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ }
“And We (Allah/God) have sent You not, except as a Rahmah to all Worlds, (O Prophet Muhammad, God bless You and grant You peace).” {Qur’an 2:107}

The Personification of Rahmah is the Final Prophet, and the Greatest Doctor, our Lord Muhammad, sallAllahu ‘alayHi wasallam. It is His Rahmah, sallAllahu ‘alayHi wasallam, that we are all in need of to cure all our diseases in this world, and to brighten our faces in the Hereafter.

Hence this blog; an amalgamation of the humble reflections of a Muslim medical student, as he treads through the journey of learning the sciences of medicine, with the intention of fulfilling the sunnah (tradition) of his Liege, Patron, Prophet, and Doctor, Muhammad (sallAllahu ‘alayHi waSallam), the Final Prophet and the Greatest Doctor; seeking His Smile; and to be enveloped by Him sallAllahu alayHi wasallama, out of His pure generosity, in His Mantle, His Cloak of Rahmah and Acceptance that He favours His accepted servants with.

And Allah and His Messenger sallAllahu alayHi waSallam alone can give success to this humble speck. God’s forgiveness is sought for all mistakes and sins through the Means of His Beloved Chosen One, God bless Him and salute Him with peace.
